You will be working with our specialist team of electronics and mechanical engineering attorneys and solicitors handling all non-contentious and contentious matters.

What you will need

  • To be a qualified patent attorney with demonstrable experience in an electromechanical field.
  • The ability to advise clients on how to protect their works considering their individual specific needs and requirements.
  • A confident and assertive attitude combined with being commercially astute to build on and develop strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Experience living/studying/working in an English speaking environment or other foreign country.
  • To be fluent in German and English (other language skills welcome).
  • To be a motivated team player, willingness to assume responsibility in a growing team from day one as well as a “hands on” mentality.
  • To have a general willingness to travel (depending on the circumstances), for example, to the other D Young & Co offices or to client meetings.
  • To have the ability and willingness to work well independently and also as a member of a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, international team.
  • To be highly credible, with good business judgment and thought processes, supported by a diplomatic approach and sound decision-making skills.
  • To possess excellent interpersonal skills, in particular in a multi-cultural environment, and use these to actively build relationships internally and externally.
