Romania to join UPC on 01 September 2024
Following ratification of the Unified Patent Court Agreement (UPCA) on 14 April 2024, Romania has deposited its instrument of ratification on 31 May 2024.
Thus, Romania will become the 18th member state of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) on 01 September 2024, and the territorial scope of the second generation of the unitary patents (UP) registered on or after this date will also comprise Romania.
