Daisy Bethell
I joined D Young & Co in 2023 and have a strong technical background in molecular bioengineering, with a particular focus on biotechnology and synthetic biology.
Before joining D Young & Co I completed an integrated masters in molecular bioengineering at Imperial College London. My studies covered a diverse range of topics, including biomaterials, tissue engineering and synthetic biology. My master’s project involved genetically engineering yeast cells to produce commercially relevant chemicals and then optimizing the bioprocess and scaling-up production.
Since joining the firm I have worked with a diverse range of clients and gained experience in a variety of areas of patent law including prosecution, opposition and appeals at the EPO.
